A 28-year-old woman named Nargis Iqbal Mohammed posed as a man and tricked several women into marriage for the sake of money.

According to local media, a 28-year-old woman named Nargis Iqbal Mohammed posed as a man and tricked women into marriage for the sake of money.

Nargis a French citizen reportedly changed her name to Shaban upon her arrival Pakistan and started searching for brides in Mirpur and Jhelum areas, said local police.

“The lady used to pose as a man in terms

of looks and enticed women and later married them,” revealed Khanduri.

Nargis married the a woman identified as Tanzeela after meeting her and her family in person in 2023. Nargis went back to Europe and sponsored her into France following a heavy sum of amount. However, Tanzeela soon realized that Shaban is actually a woman who brought several girls from Pakistan after marrying them and is using those women to con money.

Victim’s family spotted Nargis in Pakistan and reported her to police.

She has been arrested and charged on the grounds of impersonation, fraud and forgery by Pakistani police.
