Wazir Hussain, 39, trashed the reception area of Healey House Hotel in Batley on May 14. He had downed a huge amount of booze and admitted to Kirklees magistrates that he was out of control.
Alex Bozman, prosecuting, said that Hussain was found drunk and bleeding in reception area of the Healey Lane hotel.
He had caused damage to the main wooden entrance doors by smashing panels and wrecked a printer.
Because of the state he was in Hussain was taken to hospital for treatment.
Mr Bozman said: “He later voluntarily attended at the police station and made full admissions.
“He was, in his own words, out of his face. He had consumed significant quantities of spirits and couldn’t remember exactly what he’d done.”
Hussain, of South View Terrace in Dewsbury, pleaded guilty to criminal damage totalling £1,300.
Mr Bozman said that the hotel carpet had to be cleaned and the doors, worth £900, had to be replaced as they no longer shut properly.
Hussain, who was not represented, told magistrates: “I was in a bad place.
“I went out and just went a bit overboard.”
They ordered him to pay £500 compensation to the hotel.
