The sudden increase in water levels in Mangla Dam has resulted in water entering the homes of people living in the surrounding areas, late at night. The affected, with great difficulties moved their prized possessions from their now flooded homes as the roads were also blocked. The crops cultivated by spending millions of Rupees were destroyed in minutes. The water entered the mosques, graveyards and partially damaged the houses and paralyzed the life of the people. People were forced to spend their nights under open sky.

According to details the recent rains have caused vast destruction in the whole country, the possessions of people worth millions of Rupees were destroyed, the roads developed spending millions of rupees have turned to ruins, multiple bridges have broken, the newly constructed bridges at Kathar, Peepli Ghunair, Dhairi Qasim have been destroyed severing the land connection to these areas to the nearby lands. These areas with more than 25 thousand of entrapped population have been severely affected.

Due to Inadequate Sewage System, the Dadyal city has transformed in to a lake, its land connection to other areas has been severed due to land sliding. The entry of flood water in Mangla Dam suddenly increased its water level, so much so, that the water entered the nearest surrounding areas and people have to face extreme difficulties in evacuating their homes due to blocked roads.

None of the Government Officials have visited the affected areas yet and the people are forced to spend their nights under open sky. The public have appealed the authorities to increase the pace of the relief works.
