Insanullah Sarfaraz, 33, of Newmarket Way, Hodge Hill, who is a taxi driver picked a teenage woman up from outside a pub in Birmingham and raped her.
The married father of 4 children, has been jailed for 10 years. He also had previously three charges of rape.
The victim girl had gone with a male friend to the Village Inn in Hurst Street and they decided to go home at around 5am on October 23 last year, and found Taxi Drive Insanullah Sarfaraz. Sarfaraz stopped on two occasions to allow the male to withdraw £15 from an ATM.
On the second occasion the defendant had turned round to face the woman, who was quite intoxicated, and told her she needed a massage and rubbed her thigh.
Taxi driver had discussion with the male passengers about payment as he thought it costs him more. However after dropping him, he offered to drop the girl for free. Then drove to a “quiet spot” got out of his vehicle and then got on top of the victim in the back.
The he dropped her to her home where she told her parents what had happened to her. He was traced out by his DNA and was jailed for 10 years and will never be allowed to drive a taxi.
