Tahmoor Khan, 32, of Bude Road, West Bowling who was jailed for 8 years for conning Women out of £250,000 on 25 Oct 2016, in Bradford, is now ordered by judge to pay back compensation to five women he tricked out of cash.

Gambling addict Tahmoor Khan was told by Judge Neil Davey QC at Bradford Crown Court that his offending was underpinned and he had taken advantage of the women’s professional and social vulnerability.

He had amassed £80,000 gambling debts at casinos, by posing as a wealthy businessman to take advantage of two women he contacted through a dating website and conned both of them out of £250,000.

To one Victim woman whom he met on dating website, he told her he is the owner of a car hire business, had a £2 million in bank.

He promised her to marry her, and that is on the dating website just to find a life partner. He won her trust and when relationship developed between them, Tahmoor Khan asked for some money as his business is some cash flow problem and promised her to pay her back.

He took £4,000 from woman in order to lease a Land Rover, which he took possession of. When the hire purchase company threatened to repossess the vehicle, she paid more than £50,000 to buy it.

To another woman he found on dating website he said his assets are forzen and he need some money, poor lady transferred £20,500. Then later Tahmoor Khan persuaded her to pay £50,000 to set marriage date.

During inquiry it was found that Tahmoor Khan who had benefited by £993,177 form these woman only own 3 cars, 2 personalised number plates and a £9,000 in bank account.

Today Judge made a compensation order in the sum of £9,000, to be paid to five women within three months, with 5 months imprisonment in default.
