As part of Independence Day Pakistan celebrations, a T20 Cricket Match was held under the supervision of District Cricket Association. It was held at Play Ground of Government College Mirpur. The Director Sports Youth and Culture Azad Kashmir Raja Kalim Ullah Khan was the chief guest. The Mirpur White team was headed by Naqash Basharat, whereas the Mirpur Green was lead by Adil Mirza. Huge number of peoples came to watch the match.
Batting first, Mirpur Greens scored 115 runs in the 20 overs whereas the Mirpur Whites reached the target just in 15 overs. Badar Munir was awarded Man of the Match on best performance. In the end Chief Guest distributed the awards to the winner and runner-up teams. Assistant Director Sports Syed Liaquat Hussain Shah, and President District Cricket Association Nasir Butt were also present.
Moreover, a Karate show was organized by, Chief Instructor of Kung Fu, Chinese Martial Arts and by Instructor Adeel Ahmed Khan of Kaucsian Kie club. A large number of public turned up to see the karate matches.
The hall was beautifully decorated with the Pakistani flag. At the end of the show the Director Sports Raja Kaleem Ullah distributed prizes among the contestants and encouraged them. The renowned Lawyer Advocate Raja Zubair, President DFA Basharat Bhatti, Director Sports MUST University Abid Hussain and Assistant Director Sports were also present in the ceremony.
