Mirpur: Women of New city protested against New City Police, outside the court. A woman named Sonia, drenched herself with petrol and set herself on fire and tried to attempt suicide. People present there, rescued her from fire. New City Police also reached there and transferred the woman to DHQ hospital Mirpur.

According to information, women from New city protested against the Police for breaking into their homes and criticizing them. While protesting outside the Mirpur court, one of them named Sonia, set herself on fire. Other women and Police, who reached there few moments later, saved the woman and referred her to DHQ hospital in Mirpur. However, a child also got a little hurt from fire. Women requested the D.I.G Police and SS to take some action against such acts by Police.
