Shiraz Bashir, 42, Leonie Mason, 24, from Huddersfield and the teenagers attacked Craig Preston, 34, in a lay by in Rotherham before discarding his body by Woodhead Tunnels in August. They were found guilty of murder at Sheffield crown Court for killing Craig Preston.

Shiraz Bashir, developed relationship with Leonie Marie Mason, 24, who had been with Craig Preston, 34, for six or seven years. Leonie Marie Mason has changed her name to Alina Shiraz.

Shiraz Bashir and his lover Alina Shiraz plotted to kill Mr Preston because he was an “annoyance” to their relationship. The couple recruited the t3 hree teenagers, one of whom was just 14 at the time, and lured Mr Preston to the lay by in Town Lane where he was tied up and then kicked, punched and stamped on.

Both of them were guilty of murdering her ex Craig Preston, 34, last summer in a brutal attack and taking a photo of his beaten body in a car boot and dumping him on the moors in a love triangle murder.

Mr Preston’s body was found on the morning of Monday August 22 last year on the moors of the A628 at Woodhead Tunnels in Derbyshire. A post-mortem examination revealed he died as a result of head injuries.

Prosecutors claimed Shiraz Bashir had a hate for Preston and desire to have him out of the way that it grew so much it came to be shared by Alina Shiraz.

Three teenage boys also on trial were found not guilty of murder, but guilty of manslaughter. All five have been on trial at Sheffield Crown Court for 12 weeks charged with murdering Mr Preston, also known as Craig Nelson.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died as a result of head injuries.
