Khadim ul-Haramain us-Sharifain Suleman bin Abdul Aziz appointed resident of Azad Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Bin Khalil Alqaar as Imam of Kabba in Mecca for Namaz-e-Taraweeh.

Sheikh Muhammad Bin Khalil Alqaar belongs to Patika village of Muzaffarabad District of Azad Kashmir. Sheikh Muhammad Bin Khalil Alqaar is son of famous religious scholar of whole Islamic world Sheikh Khalil. He was born in 1940 in Muzaffarabad Azad Kashmir. He get Islamic education in Lahore in from Sheikh Suleman and learned Qirats of Quran from different institutes of Pakistan.

In 1963 he moved to Holy Land of Mecca where he teach Islamic teaching in Masjid-e-Haram from there he moved to Madina Munawara and since then residing there.

Sheikh Ayoub Barmi (R.A) Imam of Masjid-e-Nabvi who recent died and Sheikh Ali Jabber Imam of Kabba are both students of Sheikh Muhammad Bin Khalil Alqaar.

It is really my honor for whole Kashmiri Community and Pakistani Community that from our beloved Land of Azad Kashmir a Kashmiri is appointed as Imam of Great Mosque of Mecca, a the largest mosque in the world and surrounds Islam’s holiest place, the Kaaba, in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
