Rapist Rashid Ulhaqdad, 35, resident of Mead Crescent, Alum Rock, was caught after his brave teenage victim made a “secret” mobile phone call to police during the attack.

Rashid met the teenager after while he delivered food to her home and both had exchanged phone numbers and started talks. They arranged to meet at a relative’s home where teenager was babysitting her nephew.

Rashid traveled 100 miles to Liverpool to carry out the sickening assault on the 17-year-old, where he threaten the victim to kill her and hit her with an empty bottle and raped her 3 times.

But young girl managed to call police secretly form her mobile, when police entered the home they arrest him. He was found guilty to 3 rape offences, 2 assaults, and breaching an order preventing him from arranging to meet women using his phone. He was jailed for 19 years at Liverpool Crown Court. He had previously attacked other women as well.

Detective Inspector said the victim girl has shown amazing bravery throughout the investigation and court process, he said victims of such crimes should not suffer in silence instead should contact police.
