Rapist Amar Mehraj, 29, on Run to Pakistan Jailed for 10 Years in Manchester

Amar Mehraj, finally been jailed after fleeing the country for eight years, he found police officers waiting for him at Birmingham Airport when he tried to slip back into the country after flying back from Pakistan in November.

In July 2009, Amar along with 3 other men gang rape of a then 17-year-old girl in Oldbury. She was plied with alcohol and drugs. While she was passed out she was raped by Mehraj and three other men.

Rape victim escaped from the house and called police police arrested other gang members but Amar Mehraj fled to Pakistan and remain on run since 2009 until he was arrested in 2017 at Manchester Airport.

He was found guilty and on Friday, May 29, was sentenced to nine years and nine months in prison at Birmingham Crown Court.

The three other rapists were convicted and jailed in 2010. This was a sickening crime against a vulnerable young girl, who was plied with alcohol and drugs before being abused.
