Qader Ali, 19, resident of Granville Street in Burnley, went to H Samuel Jewellers in Burnley on June this year along with his friend. At shop he told staff that he want to buy a diamond ring for his girl, who he is in relationship with.
Staff showed them wrings, and they tried out different rings for perfect fit. They selected a ring but can’t decide to buy it or not. Both of them left the shop and returned 15 minutes later, they took the photos of the ring in order to sent them to the girl to make final decision.
But both of them distracted the staff and picked a ring this time. When staff discovered one of the ring had been taken by the guys, they called the police.
Qader Ali was found fingerprints belonging to Ali, when police reached at his home, his mum answered and told Qader Ali is sleeping in room, Police went to his room and told him he is under arrest in Diamond Theft case.
Qader Ali asked for the permission to change clothes as he wearing Pajama, when granted permission, he managed to escape through bathroom window.
When police noticed he is taking too much them, when they get inside they found nothing inside but a opened window. Later Qader Ali handed himself to police.
He was pleaded guilty to theft and escaping from police and was sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work at Burnley Crown Court.
