Police on Saturday registered a case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Mian Tahir Jamil after he was accused of abusing a minor girl employed at his residence as a domestic worker.
Member of Punjab Assembly, Mian Tahir Jamil, his sons Afaq and Saad and wife Bano were booked in a case on Friday at Faisalabad’s Batala Colony police station for abusing a 14-year-old girl; the case has been registered under sections 376 and 377B (unnatural offences) of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 34 (unauthorised custody) of the Punjab Destitute and Neglected Children Act, 2004.
Media reports say the girl worked as a maid at Jamil’s house in Faisalabad’s Al Masoom Town for the past six months.
The victim’s father said she returned to the home in Shoukat Abad Samundri on Tuesday and disclosed that she was abused twice by Jamil a few months ago and Afaq and Saad molested her.
Baano and Jamil’s sons beat her up, the father quoted the victim as saying.
The police are awaiting the results of a forensic report but no arrests have been made yet.
Spokesperson to Chief Minister Punjab, Dr Shehbaz Gill confirmed on Twitter that the victim was in custody of Child Protection Bureau.
