Last day Sunday, 18 Dec 2016, a black goat (Kala Bakra) for ‘sadqa’ near an ATR-42 aircraft after it was given clearance for take-off from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport, as PIA had grounded 10 ATR Air Crafts after the Civil Aviation Authority ordered to shakedown tests of the planes.
On behalf of the PIA, airline’s employees sacrificed a Black Goat, in an effort to seek divine intervention to keep a flight safe and secure.
PIA Chairman Azam Saigol has already resigned due to “personal reasons” while the CAA has yet to clear the ATR aircraft for flying operations. One of PIA pilot refused to fly an ATR plane for its engine problems on 8 Dec, 2016 just a day after Havelian Plan Crash.
And the airline authorities are resorting to slaughter animals to ward off any ‘untoward happening’. Perhaps this is the only possible way left for the country’s premier airline to keep its aircraft safe from crashes.
