People come out into the streets to show their outraged at the closing of Nadra Office in District Dadyal.
Chants of “Unacceptable! Unacceptable! Unacceptable” could be heard far and wide. Due to the large number of people that came out into the streets, roads were jammed for more than two hours. This mass included students, elderly, ladies, men children who all stood united together as one at Main Chowk Azad Kashmir.
People also raised their voices against Farooq Haider that he shall not misuse and mistreat the people of Dadyal. We have paid a great price in the name of our country and freedom. The government of Azad Kashmir have become excellent orators but preform no practical implementation of their “vows.” First they closed down the passport office in Islam Garg and now they have set their sights on Dadyal. The government seems hell bent on taking away previously given facilities. If the Nadra office is not reopened in couple of days, we shall continue protesting and shall show our displeasure in Palak to Dhangali.
The people of Dayal are not unjust in their demands and drastic measures undertaken to have themselves heard. Coming out into the streets is not a new tactic. People in history have made use of this tool time and time again.
Martin Luther King Speech “I have a dream” in 1963, was aimed to promote equality of races in US. This rally held a gathering of more than 200,000 people. That truly was a magnificent gathering.
