Pedestrian, Hamida Bai died after BMW hit her in Dewsbury road Incident

A female pedestrian named as Hamida Bai Dana died following a road incident at railway bridge near Lidl and the junction with Dewsbury Ring Road in Dewsbury.

Hamida Bai Dana was resident of of Taylor Street, Batley, was hit by a white BMW 420 coupe at 10.10am today in Bradford Road, Dewsbury.

A 21-year-old man who was driving a white BMW hit the woman and left woman critically injured on road, emergency Services were called to the scene at 10.10am after a white BMW 420 coupe car hit a woman.

Police has arrested the dangerous driver of BMW and is investigating him, mean while police has, appeal the eye witness, or anyone who saw the collision or the manner in which the BMW was being driven prior to the collision is asked to contact the Major Collision and Enquiry Team on 101.

Kirklees councillor for Batley, Fazila Fadia, said: “My deepest condolences to Musa Dana & his family for the loss of his wife Hamida Bai Dana – Taylor Street, Batley who has sadly passed away today in a tragic car accident.”
