Parvez Akhtar, 54, resident of Donisthorpe Street, West Bowling, Bradford, a cab driver attacked on his wife Naseem Akhtar and banged her head on a kitchen door has been jailed for 10 months.
Parvez Akhtar, a cab driver and married to wife Naseem Akhtar from last 30 years, both had 4 children from marriage. He flew into a rage before his night shift, called her names and grabbed her from hairs and threw her on kitchen door.
Paramedics were called and while they were attending Naseem Akhtar, Parvez Akhtar was sitting on sofa watching TV.
Parvez Akhtar was convicted of same offence in 1994 for attacking his wife, after she forbid him for beating child.
Parvez Akhtar was a coward for not owning up to what he had done until witness summonses were about to be issued to get prosecution witnesses to court for his trial.
Court heard he used to do violence at home behind close doors and kept the control of family and house.
Parvez Akhtar was found guilty of bodily Harm, and was sentenced for 10 years at Bradford Crown Court.
