Nahid Islam, 15, who was going on his bicycle near his home in Belsize Park after his mother asked him to collect his 16th Birthday Cake, in north London, on Saturday afternoon. He was hit by a motorcycle on zebra crossing and received fatal injured and was pronounced dead on scene.
Nahid’s mother, Sultana Begum, who was waiting for his son to collect form her heavy and big cake, was in a state of shock after seeing her youngest son lying in the middle of the road. The motorcyclist stopped after the accident and until now no arrest has been.
Nahid Islam was described as a good boy, his father Fokrul Islam, 50, said he had already memorised the Quran and was student of GCSEs at Regent High School in Camden.
His elder brother Sunny Rahman, 21, said, “He was the best younger brother, he was loved by everyone.”
He was described as cricket loving fun loving all the time, every time he laughed. He was extremely popular student who was very supportive to his class fellows.
His funeral prayers was offered last day at Baitul Amman mosque and Ghaibana Namaz-e-Jinaza at his native home town in Bangladesh by family members.
