Mohammed Aslam, 71, his wife Talat Aslam, 62, from Glasgow died in a accident in Saudi Arabia

Mr Mohammad Aslam and Mrs Talat Aslam of 36 Calderwood Road, Newlands, Glasgow, have been killed after a minibus crash in Saudi Arabia.

Mohammad Aslam and his wife Talat Aslam, from Newlands, were among seven victims of the horror crash which happened yesterday afternoon.

The bus was carrying 12 passengers and was travelling between Makkah and Medina. A total of 6 people have died, Glasgow couple and 4 members of family of a members from Manchester. Couple hand had taken a pilgrimage trip to the country along with another family from Manchester. The Manchester-based tour operator, Haji Tours, who organised the trip for both families who were well know to each other.

The minibus, which was carrying 12 passengers, was driving between Mecca to Medina after they had complete the Umrah.

Mr Mohammad Aslam and Mrs Talat Aslam were popular members of the community left behind their five children Shehia, Saba, Omar, Osman and Haroon.

Yasmin Majid, couple’s niece, spoke of her grief on Facebook.

So shocked, she was always so full of life. Sadly Aunty Talat Aslam and Uncle Aslam have left this world to return to our creator in a bus crash in Medina.

May Allah the Almighty grants the deceased a high rank in Paradise and gives their loved ones strength and patience at this difficult time.

We surely belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.
