Ryan Hunt hit 57-year-old victim as he was withdrawing £30 from a cash machine outside HSBC at 6.10pm on April 29, 2016, but failed to grab the cash.

Ryan Hunt parked his white BMW 3 Series outside bank and wore his balaclava before targeting his victim outside cash machine.

Police officer on spot tried to capture him but he threw a bottle at officers and sped off dangerously in the car causing damage to a police van. He abandoned his BMW few yards away which was traced by police later on.

Later police launched an operation and arrested Ryan Hunt along with a 21 years old girl. Ryan Hunt was found guilty of attempt robbery and bodily harm and was sentenced to 6 years and 6 moths at York crown court. He was also ordered to £500 to victim and banned form driving for 6 years and 3 months.

The 21 years old girl who was arrested along with him, was convicted of a public order offence and was sentenced to a community order and £150 costs.
