At least 8 people have been killed after a gunman opened fire in a revenge attack over the sale of drugs, at BPM festival held at popular tourist hotspot Playa Del Carmen, in Mexico.
Canadian citizen, organized the festival which included dance and music loved by British and American music fans, and whole host of DJs from across the world, including UK artists were hosting it. Festival organizer is reported to be shot dead in firing.
Around 150 of the world’s top DJs, acts and producers were at the festival, holding a closing party for the event, when a gunman opened fire from a window which killed at least 8 people and injured 15 people.
At another club in the area in Jungle, which was also holding a closing party, shooting is also reported there.
At first clubbers were told it is a fire work, but again gun shots were heard and peole saw the shooter running across the back of the club while shooting.
This year marked BMP Festival’s 10th anniversary. It has become one of the world’s biggest dance and electronic music events.
