Jhangir Rasul, 40, Ex-police officer, Threatened to Throw Acid on Ex-Girlfriend in Bolton

Jhangir Rasul, 40, of Pleasant Gardens, Bolton, an ex-police officer threatened to throw acid on former girlfriends face, whom he was in a 10-year relationship and had two children from her, while Rasul also separately had a wife and four children.

In one incident, he assaulted her in her own home in Cheetham Hill, leaving her fearing for her life. He grabbed her by the head, ‘whacked’ it against the staircase and hit it against the door.

Rasul then pulled her to the floor, hit her head against the floor, the court heard, before he ‘scratched at her eyes’.

He then stamped on her head two or three times while ‘screaming something unintelligible’.

During the second incident on April 26, Rasul, threatened to throw acid in her face, said he would kill her and pledged to ‘get his mates to s**g her’.

He turned up at her home and she let him in because she felt intimidated. Rasul said his ‘nephew was going to smash her phone’ unless she handed over some money.

He then went to the kitchen and got a knife, and started waving it around near her neck.

He admitted two counts of common assault against his former partner at Manchester Crown Court and was jailed for 26 weeks.
