During an interview held by BBC Asian Network, Faryal Makhdoom, wife of Bolton Boxer Amir Khan said parts of the UK including Bolton were “backwards” and has also spoken out against “haters”.

She shared her thoughts about the culture shock when moving from the US to Bolton and about her modelling catwalk debut with Asiana.

She talked about the negativity she faces on social media. She told she get a lot of negative comments, some parts of the UK are completely blunt and are backwards. She added From some parts of UK she received a lot of hate from some areas including Bolton.

She said i started modelting after getting marreid with Aamir Kha, and stopped it after child’s birht, and now as my daughter is older, I thought to show my fans interesting side and started catwalk.

Someone said “Our daughter’s follow you and it’s not nice. You’re not a perfect example”. She said, I never asked anyone to be a role model or follow me, I’m just being myself, I do like my fashion, I do like dressing up, I’m not a perfect Muslim, but I do try to be.

She said, she likes it when people says I sound like a bimbo. I am American, I am not from Britain. That is why I sound like Kim Kardashian.
