Water Levels in Mangla Dam has increased from 1240 feet, Deputy Commissioner Mirpur has issued the Flood Warning.
Mirpur- The Water Level in Mangla Dam has increased from 1240 feet, considering the possibility of Flood, the Deputy Commissioner Mirpur has raised flood alarm.
A large amount of flood water has entered the Mangla Dam and in the next few hours about 2 Lac 50 thousand Cusec water will be released from Mangla Dam into river Jehlum. Ch Tariq, Deputy Commissioner District Administration, Mirpur has ordered immediate evacuation of the villages inhabiting the banks of river Jhelum. In these villages, the alarm to evacuate was raised through loud speakers installed in mosques and cars.
A High Level meeting, including the Army Officers, has been called, headed by the Deputy Commissioner Mirpur, in order to deal with the situations produced by the possible Flood. A flood warning has also been issued to the residents living near Mangla Dam.
