Dead body of newborn baby dumped on steps outside a mosque in sector C4, Mirpur. Imam Mosque informed police who took the dead body in custody.

According to details, dead body of new born baby was dumped by a mother outside of Masjid Faiz Ul Harmain, in Sector C4, Mirpur Azad Kashmir.

Baby was wrapped in a cloth and Qari Zahid Iqbal found a cloth outside main gate of Mosque, when Qari Zahid Iqbal unfold the cloth and found dead body of newly born, he was shocked. He put dead body of baby on same place where he picked it up and called police.

Thothal Police arrived on the spot, the took dead body of newly born baby and registered FIR against the Unknown Mother, who killed her baby and left dead body outside mosque to hide her sin.

There is Edhi Center located in Allama Iqbal Road, near DHQ Hospital Mirpur and they have a Baby Crade “Jhoola” there where they say “Dont Kill Babies, place them here”, These abandoned babies are then taken into custody and given shelter in Edhi Homes. What is the point of killing and dumping, one can just put baby in the cradle.
