Mirpur (14 October 2014- Bureau Report) Mirpur is under high influence of thieves and robbers, as is evident by the dangerous increase in the incidents of Mobile and Purse snatching. Near The DIG Office unknown men snatched the purse from a woman who came for shopping and escaped. Police remained unsuccessful in arresting the criminals.

Public Sectors are demanding Inspector General Police and DIG Mirpur to take immediate notice of the situation.

According to details, despite various Checkpoints and Security Cameras , Police have remained unsuccessful in providing facilities to the people. Yesterday the theives succeeded in snatching the purse of a woman and escaped. Neither the police filed a report nor did they caught the thieves. Public sectors are demanding from the Inspector General Police and DIG to take immediate notice of the situation.
