Omar Malik, 30, resident of Easby Road, Bradford city centre a DANGER driver who was just set free from prison again jailed for 18 months for dangerous driving. His car fell off when he crashed in a police chase from Bolton Road, Bradford to Apperley Lane, Rawdon.
Omar Malik had borrowed Berlingo and accelerated away from the police along Horton Grange Road, Legrams Lane and Idle Road, weaving in and out of traffic and colliding with an oncoming Skoda, after crash Omar Malik fled on foot but was arrested by police.
During the chase he jumped 6 red lights in the high-speed pursuit which ended after he struck the kerb and the car’s rear wheel came off.
Omar Malik was found guilty of dangerous driving on November 29 last in 2016, and driving without insurance or a licence.
23 previous convictions for 44 offences of dangerous driving. In June last year, he was jailed for 11 months for theft from the a man and was just set free 4 days before committing the latest offences.
Omar Malik was sentenced for 18 months in jail and was banned from driving for 4 years and 6 months at Bradford Crown Court.
