Arsalaan Farooq, 21, resident of Park Cliffe Road, Undercliffe, jailed for more than 3 years for stealing high value cars in Halifax, Bradford. While Zain Bashir, 20, resident of of Ashfield Avenue, Shipley, was found guilty to burglary, theft and handling stolen goods, was sentenced to 27 months in a young offenders institution at Bradford Crown Court.

In February 2016, Arsalaan Farooq theft theft Audi SQ5 from a house in Halifax and crashed it into another vehicle in Dudley Hill Road, Bradford.
A few weeks later, an attempted burglary at another home in Halifax area, discovered that black sticky tape had been used to try to disguise the distinctive registration plate on a Volkswagen Golf and Arsalan’s fingerprint was found on the tape.
Arsalan Farooq and his accomplice Zane Bashir, stole an Audi SQ5 and an Audi Q7 from outside a house in Skipton. and on the same night a Volkswagen Golf from a property in Sutton-in-Craven, near Keighley.
Arsalan Farooq, had previous convictions for robbery and theft, went on to handle another stolen vehicle in May while he was already on bail for the earlier offences.
Both admitted offences of burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, attempt burglary, theft and handling stolen goods are were sentenced at Bradford Crown court.
