British citizen, Mohammad Rafiq, 58, son of Muhammad Ameen from Bradford and in back home from Sangoot town of Mirpur, was shot after an ongoing property dispute in Sangoot Mirpur with his brother Idress Ali son of Muhammad Ameen.
Father of 4 children, Mohammad Rafiq got injured as a result of firing and is being treated for his injuries at local hospital in Mirpur.
Mohammad Rafiq had build a house at his father’s land in Sangoot, Mirpur, from his money, he earned while he lived in UK.
The dispute came into light in Oct 2018, when videos of the arguments between Mohammad Rafiq and his family members including his parents went viral on media.
The dispute is said to erupted after Mohammad Rafiq build a house on his ancestral land situated in Sangoot Mirpur, where his parents and brothers were living.
Mohammad Rafiq alleged that, now after a big house is build on the land, his younger brother Muhammad Idrees and other family members wanted to take possession and fraudulently obtain the land and assets.
Muhammad Idrees was deported from UK after and arson attack in Newcastle about 6 years ago and after wards he started living with his parents at the house build by Mohammad Rafiq.
Muhammad Idrees along with his sister, mother and father Muhammad Ameen-who passed away in January 2019, is trying to grab the house as his share.
Mohammad Rafiq had arrived in Mirpur Pakistan from Bradford about 4 weeks ago and today he was shot by some men in a local Bazar in Mirpur where Rafiq was present along with his cousin.
Mohammaad Rafiq narrowly escaped the firing, but one fire shot his ear and scraped it. Later on police arrested Muhammad Idrees after Mohammad Rafiq filed a police case and accused his younger brother for arraigning the men to kill him.
Both parties try to make video of arguments and make them viral on the internet to bring shame to each other as seen in past.
British authorities are involved and looking into the case as well.
