Boy Died, his Twin Sister Critically Injured in a Brutal Hammer Attack London

A one-year-old boy died while his twin sister is fighting for her life as police question Dad arrested on suspicion of her attempted murder and the murder of a boy in Wilberforce Road, north London.

Tragic Gabriel aged 1 died and his twin sister Maria is in a critical condition in hospital after the horror attack in Finsbury Park, north London, on Saturday. Both toddlers had critical injuries and were taken to an East London hospital where the boy died in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A manhunt was launched for Bidhya Sagar Das, 33, and he was arrested following a dramatic 20-hour manhunt after he fled the flat shortly before officers discovered the tots.

Police have confirmed the suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. Bidhya Sagar Das is believed to be the partner of the twins’ mum, named locally as Cristinela Datcu, who had screamed for help in the street after discovering the bloodbath last night.

Mother of children is said had been in the shower or locked in the bathroom. While she was in there the little boy was attacked with a hammer to the head.

A neighbour who lives across the road and gave her name as Guyguy K said: “Last night I head a woman and she was shouting in the street.

“I said what has happened and just shouted ‘my kids, my kids’. I don’t know her but I have seen her around. I saw the police and the ambulance come to take out the babies. One was moving, but was being held close and I couldn’t see them moving.”

A post-mortem will be scheduled in due course.
