AMIR Khan’s £5 million luxury Deane wedding venue is about 6 months away from opening, the boxer has revealed during a message in snapchat to his fans.

The luxury venue is expected to open in after 6 months and will stage wedding receptions and business conferences in its 620-seater buffet restaurant.

The former world champion told fans on his Snapchat account that the work on the Washington Street venue is progressing well and also announced a host of businesses set to launch inside the premises — including his wife’s make-up firm.

Amir says the demand for the venue so far has been huge, and he is upbeat about the impact it will have on the Bolton community. He told, he is getting phone calls from people every week who wanted to book the venue.

The premises will eventually contain a restaurant and bar on the ground floor, an 800-seater function hall on the second floor, a VIP restaurant and breakout area on the second floor, a roof terrace and 51 parking spaces.

FMK make-up shop — which will be run by his wife Faryal. Popular British-Asian curry firm My Lahore will be launching a unit and there will also be space for Argeela Lounge — which is a bar, restaurant and shisha company.

Bolton building firm Ash & Sons, based in Chorley Old Road, has been tasked with completing the job — and is employing close to 25 workers on site.

Amir Khan said this project will create up to 125 jobs and raise the profile of Bolton.
