Asad Khan’s mother Farheen Khan found him hanged on September 28 last year at their home in Tile Street, off Whetley Lane, Bradford.

An inquest that opened into his death on October 3 had already heard Asad was reluctant to attend Beckfoot Upper Heaton School where he had been a pupil for only three weeks. The family there were boys who knew their son who would confirm he was being bullied.

A boy who cannot be identified spoke to Asad on the day of his death, had said there were things Asad had mentioned specifically to him. He has attended a third pre-inquest review hearing accompanied by his father.

Asad said to the boy “Life is unfair. I would say it’s 90 to 95 per cent life is hard” and to told him “I’m unsafe in school. You won’t see me for a long time. I’m going to skive for a very long time.”
