Anusha Zaffar, 16, whose father Muhammad Zaffar and Mother Zaheen Bibi, suspected her for having an affair with a boy in the village, beat her and pour acid on her face and body and killed her in Khuriratta area of Kotli District Azad Kashmir.

Muhammad Zaffar saw a boy outside their house on motorcycle and found his daughter engaged with him by looking at him.

Muhammad Zaffar took Anusha inside room and beat her then with the help of his wife Zaheen, pour acid on her face, body. While pouring acid, Muahmmad Zaffar and his wife also got some parts of their hands burnt.

They kept the poor girl inside their house for 1 day and next day they took her to hospital, where doctors found her body was burnt almost 70%. The doctor at hospital told media that gir had third-degree burns on her scalp, face, eyes, nostrils, both arms, chest, foot and lower part of legs. Even her scalp bone was exposed.

The girl died later in hospital, the parents tried to give it a name of suicide attempt, but when elder sister who is married and lives in another village, arrived and when she saw the burnt face she suspected and told police.

Police made an arrest, both Muhammad Zaffar and his wife were arrested and they confessed killing the girl for having illicit relation with a boy. They told media that their elder daughter who is married had already disgraced the family and they had already faced gossips in the community, they did not want to be dishonoured again and killed her.

Police arrested parents and put them behind bars.
