Actress Veena Malik,33, has ended her three-year-old marriage with husband Asad Bashir Khan Khattak and is officially divorced now. The family court in Lahore has granted them divorce.

The court in Lahore accepted Veena’s ‘khula’ (divorce) application and ruled in her favour after non-pursuance of the case by Asad Khattak. As she had filed for divorce, she will to have return 25 per cent of the ‘haq mehr’ (dower money) to Mr. Asad Khatak.

Actress Veena Malik had filed a plea seeking divorce in first week of January, 2017. The court had summoned Asad Khattak but he neither appeared nor filed a reply. Finally the court issued a decree validating divorce between the couple.

Actress Veena Malik and Asad Khattak had got married in December 2013 in a court in Dubai and have 2 children from marriage. 2 years old Abram and 1 year old Amal.

The couple kept this development under wraps till now for personal reasons,” informed an official from the court to the agency.

Veena reportedly wanted to join showbiz again but Asad insisted that she take care of their two children. These were the difference which led Veena Malik to file divorce.
