Mirpur (1stSeptember2014 Bureau Report) 37th National Football Championship 2013-2014 was held with sponsorship of National Bank of Pakistan. In the final, Pilot Football Club, Mirpur defeated Shah Football Club, Muzzfarabad and won the herts of Mirpur. The youngsters enjoyed themselves, danced and did Bhangras.

According to details Azad Kashmir Football Association under the sponsorship of National Bank of Pakistan, National Football Championship was held in Mirpur, in which teams from all the districts of Azad Kashmir participated. Final Match was held between Pilot Football Club Mirpur and Muzzaffarabad which remained equal by 1-1 goal by the end of alloted team. The match was decided on penalty kicks. Mirpur defeted Muzzafarabad with 4-5 Penalty Kicks and won the final.. The Cheif Guests were Secretary Sports Board Jawed Sheraz and Central Traders union President Ch Naeem, who distributed the prizes among the players. The chief Guests gave the winning trophy to the the winning teams captain Raja Irfan who also scored the winning goal from his team. Whereas the Runners up trophy was given to the Muzzaffarabad Team .

After the success of Mirpur Team the players and the public lead out a rally in the city which after moving on different roads ended at Chowk Shaheedan. A Large number of people were present and they congratulated their team on their success.
