3 Robbers Including a Blind Ended Up with Sandwiches & Tupperware while Stealing Jewellery in Bradford

Qasim Hussain, 28, of Oakroyd Terrace, North Avenue, Manningham, Bradford his younger brother Naheem Hussain, 27, also of Oakroyd Terrace, almost Blind and their third partner Hassan Mahmood, 26 of Bentcliffe Avenue, Moortown, Leeds, who planned to steal high value jewellery ended up getting away with only some Tupperware and sandwiches.

3 Robbers targeted the proprietors of a jewellery shop after they left their business premises for the night in October, 2015.

Two days before their plan they had already stolen a Mitsubishi Pajero Shogun car from Halifax to use it during robbery. All of them were wearing balaclavas, they punched the man in the face, cutting his lip, before they fled with some carrier bags.

Then they set fire to the car near Roundhay Park to destroy any forensic evidence. But the raider who believed the bags contain high value jewellers items but they were disappointed when they found Sandwiches & Tupperware inside.

Fire brigade who arrived in time to control the fire and police found the balaclavas which robbers were wearing while stealing. Police arrested them with DNA evidence.

Qasim Hussain, 28 of Oakroyd Terrace, North Avenue, Manningham, Bradford and Hassan Mahmood, 26 of Bentcliffe Avenue, Moortown, Leeds were both jailed for nine years.

Naheem Hussain, 27, also of Oakroyd Terrace, who is almost blind was jailed for 3 years at Leeds Crown Court.
