A reliable officer of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) claimed that 15-20kg heroin has been recovered from Rana Sanaullah’s vehicle, stated renowned investigative journalist and senior anchorperson Arif Hameed Bhatti.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said Rana was arrested by ANF on receiving authentic information as 15 kilogram Heroin worth Rs 150 to 120 million was recovered from the vehicle of the PML-N leader.

She said the government had nothing to do with the arrest of former Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.

In a statement, she said no one was above the law in Naya Pakistan and that the arrest could not be termed as political victimization.

Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) was an independent institution and Rana Sanaullah would be presented before the relevant court in Lahore, she added.

On the other hand, senior journalist and anchorperson Chaudhry Ghulam Hussain stated that then law minister of Punjab Rana Sanaullah is 100pc involved in massacre.

Mr. Chaudhry added three ex-ministers of then Shehbaz Sharif-led Punjab government—Mian Atta Muhammad Manika, Zaeem Qadri and Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan—told me that Rana Sanaullah claimed that he had implemented orders of Nawaz Sharif [regarding Model Town massacre].

Chaudhry further added that Rana Sanaullah had threatened to disclose original name if he was pressurized any further.
