14 people including, 3 Students, Driver, 4 men, 5 women and 1 child, died after an over speed car collided with a passenger Van on GT Road, near Pind Mattay Khan of Sohawa, District Jhleum. The over speed car collided with the van after one of its tyres burst, resulting in the accident.
According to details, on Sunday, 4 students of Punjab College rent a car from car showroom from Sohawa to attend a college function in Gujjar Khan. When their over speed car reached near Mayte Khan village few KM away from Sohawa towards GujjarKhan, font Tyre of car burst and and car jumped in air to other side of the one way and collided with passenger van traveling form Rawalpindi to Gujrat.
3 students of Punjab college, including, Haris Waheed, Aqeel Ahmed, Driver of Van Afzaal, 5 woman of passenger van, and a child in van totaling 14 people died. and several injured including 1 student in car and 12 other passengers of van.
Injured were shifted to Rawalpindi Hospital, rescue teams of Manda, Sohawa and Gujjar Khan arrived to rescue the injured.
The students in car were teenagers and all 4 of them were residents of Sohawa, and they rent the car from Sohawa from a Matti Khan a Car dealer, Social wings demanded to take action against car dealer who did not noticed the ages neither checked driving licence of student, which caused deaths.
