Azad’s mother Farheen Jan found him hanging in his bedroom at their home in Tile Street, Whetley Hill, Bradford, on September 28.
Asad had joined Beckfoot Upper Heaton School, formerly called Belle Vue Boys’ School, in Heaton, in September after reaching secondary school age.
On the day he died he had come home from school, gone to the bathroom then into his bedroom, his mother Farheen Jan called up to his room and got no response she went upstairs, finding his door locked from the inside. She forced it open and discovered him hanging.
Paramedics reached on the spot but Asad was pronounced dead. West Yorkshire Police are investigating allegations that Asad had been assaulted by older pupils at the school in the hours before his death.
Asad Khan was elder son among his 3 siblings. He had 1 brother aged 7 and two sisters aged 4 and other 5 months old.
Asad was a pupil at Beckfoot Upper Heaton School, formerly Belle Vue Boys School, which this morning released a statement about the death.
