Department of planning and Development has approved and forwarded the application filled by Department of Health to build a 1000 bed state of the art hospital incurring a total cost of about 7 billion rupee to Planning Commission of Pakistan.

This Hospital to be build is to cater future needs in Mirpur district as anticipated by Department of Health. The basic purpose of this hospital is to act as a teaching hospital accommodating the medical students of local Government Medical College.

This hospital will be special in treating heart patients and will also offer services to local residents by card system- which will grant them subsidized rates and other facilities etc.

The request has been approved by Government of Pakistan and its construction will soon commence.
