Young woman Dua Nisar Mangi kidnapped and her friend Haris Fatah shot by unidentified armed men in Karachi’s Bukhari Commercial area of Defence Housing Authority on Saturday evening.
Pair was walking near Chai Master on Khayaban e Bukhari Lane 12 in DHA Phase 7, Karachi, a popular “dhaba”-style cafe in a more affluent part of Karachi when a car stopped near them and unidentified armed men shot Haris and kidnapped Dua Nisar Mangi.
Haris Fateh who tried to protect girl from being kidnapped, he was shot in neck and men sped off with Dua in their car, Haris is in critical condition being treated at Agha Khan University Hospital.
Abdul Fatah father of Haris Fatah registered an FIR at Darakshan Police Station against unidentified men, under Sections of the Pakistan Penal Code pertaining to kidnap and attempted murder.

The family of the abducted Mangi has been in contact with police since last night, but no suspects or traces of kidnappers have yet been found.
As per sources, Dua befriended a man, Muzaffar a resident of Lahore, while both were studying in America. Dua returned to Pakistan and continued her studies at a local university, but Dua and Muzaffar had developed differences.
Over the past couple of months, Muzaffar had made several attempts to talk to Dua, but she had thwarted his attempts. On Saturday evening, Dua was at a birthday party at a house in the area, where it is said that Muzffar was also present.
Dua’s family alleged Muzaffar had likely been following Dua, as he was in the vicinity with his friends when they saw Dua and Harris strolling in the street.
It was at this point that Dua was kidnapped and Harris was shot. Police officials, however, refused to confirm the details, but said they were investigating the case from various angles.
