A 20-year-old woman was a victim of an acid attack because she refused a marriage proposal. An appeal on Just Giving is raising money to assist the woman.
Suman, from Lahore is in need of support for fighting her legal case to make sure her attacker does not go free.
The appeal has raised close to £1500 of a £2,000 target.
The Just Giving page tells Suman’s story which says that she was already subjected to years of sexual harassment.
She was attacked in January 2016 after she refused a marriage proposal by a close relative.
Just Giving added that it was not just a painful physical experience but also she was damaged psychologically at such a young age.
The organization also tells that Suman has no family support to take legal action against the perpetrator.

The page also informed that after more than a year of hearing, Pakistan Anti0Terrorism Court sentenced the perpetrator to 28 years life imprisonment on the 8th July 2017.
The attacker however, has challenged the decision in the Lahore High court and Suman needs to fight her case all over again.
