Singer Ali Zafar says Meesha wants to be another Malala, maybe she wants Immigration

Ali Zafar has finally spoken up about his defamation case against Neesha Shafi. A year later after an ongoing case, Ali says Meesha simply wants to blame him for her own personal gain because she wants to move to Canada and be a “symbol” there.

the actor summarised his talk with the media in a statement. “Meesha Shafi’s case against me has been dismissed alongside the appeal made against the dismissal. The case in the court is my case against her to pay for damages that her false statement has caused me which naturally she’s trying to run from.”

He continued, “I have also filed a case against all the fake and other accounts being used to run a campaign against me on social media.”

He said while talking to media, “This was done according to a proper plan. I was targeted for personal gains. Was this done because she [Meesha Shafi] is going to Canada and her immigration is happening? I don’t know if she wanted international recognition there and become a Malala.”

“Meesha’s case was dismissed as was her appeal,” he stated. “My case is that of compensation, it has been a year and our witnesses have appeared eight times.”

“The case should be decided fast so my truth and their lie can be revealed,” Zafar said.

Meesha Shafi has repeatedly failed to appear before court to plead her case and was recently fined by court PKR 10,000 for failing to appear before court despite multiple summons.

“Shafi has used her tactics to delay the case hearing every time,” accused Zafar. He said his witnesses have come and gone without giving any statements, adding that the court has dismissed Shafi’s appeal.

He filed a defamation case against Shafi for the “damage to his mental health, finances, family and children,” adding that his truth and her lies should come forward through the law. He has appealed to the court to announce its decision as soon as possible. “I request Meesha Shafi and her witnesses to come to the court,” he added.

Zafar’s witnesses will appear in the court on May 4.
