Pakistani model Zara Abid was among the passengers on the ill-fated Pakistan International Airlines flight that crashed in Karachi today.
Tributes are being paid on social media to the “wonderful and hardworking” star, although her death has not been confirmed.
More than 100 passengers were on the flight travelling from Lahore to Karachi Airport when it crashed into a residential area and exploded into flames.
A list of passengers boarded on the flight began circulating and amongst them is Pakistani model Zara Abid. As per latest reports, Zara’s brother reached the spot of the incident but couldn’t find her and he is looking for her in the hospital.
Abid is believed to have been on board the flight and her family are now desperately trying to find out is she has survived or not.
The Airbus 320 plane took off from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport and was four kilometres short of Karachi, its destination, when it came down.
The passenger plane crashed near the city of Karachi a few minutes before landing in a residential area. Homes were damaged by the crash, a spokesman for the aviation authority said. The
Social media has been flooded with tributes to the woman following the crash, but some fans have also claimed that Ms Abid is among the survivors.
One tribute read: “The fashion Industry lost Zara Abid in the plane crash today. People are still waiting for confirmation. Let’s hope and pray that Zara is among the survivors.
Zara Abid, born on 4th April in Lahore. She grew up in Karachi from where she did her education. She resided in Karachi with her family.
Zara studied at St. Patrick’s Girls High School Karachi. Later she completed her bachelor’s and stepped into the Showbiz industry to become a supermodel of Pakistan.
She has worked with Sana Safinaz, Wajahat Mansoor, Annus Abrar, Zaheer Abbas, Deepak and Fahad, Yasmin Zaman, Payal Keyal and some more.
