A 26-year-old son of Major General died of COVID-19 in Washington, DC, on Tuesday.
Rehman Shukr was serving as Financial System Specialist in the International Monetary Fund. He tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to a hospital in Washington DC.

The total number of coronavirus infections in the U.S. is rapidly approaching 70,000 as the country struggles to rein in the outbreak, according to a running tally being compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
