report of Nimrita Kumari, issued by Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Woman Medico-Legal Officer (WMLO) Dr Amrita on Wednesday, has revealed that the deceased was assaulted before being murdered.

The post-mortem report noted that the wound marks on the victim’s neck were “narrower in width”, which he said, clearly showed that that the wound wasn’t caused by a dupatta; instead, it was caused by a “rope-like thing or material”.
