Man, 70, Filed Petition to Marry Badminton Star, 24, Threatens Kidnap her to Make his Life Partner

Malaisamy, a 70-year-old man from the state of Tamil Nadu, has expressed his desire to marry Indian badminton star PV Sindhu and he even filed a petition to the district collector of Ramanathapuram expressing his interest to marry her.

Malaisamy in his petition said that he wants to get married to the 24-year-old world badminton champion and he even said that if this turns out to be impossible, then he will kidnap her and marry her.

According to reports, he filed a petition to the district collector of Ramanathapuram expressing his interest to marry the newly crowned world champion. He has also said that he will abduct Sindhu and marry her if proper arrangements for the marriage are not made.

Malaisamy, reached the collectorate and carried a letter with a photo of badminton gold medalist PV Sindhu and of himself. The letter insisted that he wanted to marry her. Malaisamy also claimed that he was actually just a 16-year-old boy who is born on April 4, 2004.

He said that he was extremely impressed by Sindhu’s career growth and that now he wanted to make her his life partner.

P. V. Sindhu, Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is an Indian professional badminton player. Having made her international debut in 2009, she rose to a career high ranking of no. 2 in April 2017. Over the course of her career, Pusarla has won medals at numerous tournaments on the BWF circuit including a gold at the 2019 World Championships.
