A member of a child grooming gang abused a 12-year-old girl and left her bleeding on the floor in the park after taking her virginity.
The 32-year-old abuser, who cannot be named for legal reasons, attacked the vulnerable child in a park and drugged a teenager during a “campaign of abuse”. She had to make her own way home, bleeding, to an empty flat before disposing of her clothes in a bin bag.
The court heard he used sleeping pills to subdue the same victim when abusing her at least 10 times in a Huddersfield park.
The five men were convicted after the end of the fifth trial relating to Operation Tendersea. They were jailed for a total of 45 years, The offences date back to between 2005 and 2008 when the girls were aged 12 to 16.
Umar Zaman, 31, and Samuel Fikru, 32, of Huddersfield, were each jailed for eight years on Friday after they were convicted of two counts of abuse.
The court heard that Zaman, who has previous convictions for burglary, drug supply, violence and racially-aggravated offences, has gone on the run and is believed to be in Pakistan.
Banaris Hussain, abused a “particularly vulnerable” girl when others were present and abusing her at the same time. The 36-year-old, also of William Street, will be sentenced on Monday.
