Aqib Khan benefited to the tune of £84,000 from his illegal activity. He bought expensive cars, including a £30,000 VW Golf and a Mercedes, and had Versace belts and pillows in his Normanton home.

Aqib Khan jailed for 5 years in 2018 when police stopped an Audi he was driving and, in it, officers found thousands of pounds in a Gucci bag which Khan told officers he was given to “sort things out” for a wedding at which he was the best man.

He was found in possession of a significant quantity of cash – £9,480 in a knotted plastic Gucci bag, a further £80 in the glove box, and a further £80 in his wallet.

Mr Thomas said that, in January 2018, while Khan was on bail for the money-laundering offences, police searched an address in Whitaker Street, Derby, and found “heroin, cocaine, amphetamine and Mamba”.

It was discovered that he had just over £19,000 to his name. Court ordered seize available cash under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Aqib Khan is ordered to pay within three months or face more 12-month prison sentence.
